此款Namiki Emperor鋼筆以研出高蒔繪工藝呈現江戶時期吉祥紋樣，由蒔繪師林勝精心製作。每項圖案皆具文化意涵：實現願望的小槌、承載知識的寶卷、避災的隱蓑等。50號筆尖重現1920年代原始規格，搭配硬橡膠筆身的防乾涸結構。研出高蒔繪技法透過多層漆料與炭粉堆疊，使紋樣自背景微微隆起—小槌的木紋、寶卷的綁繩等細節皆精確呈現。製作過程包含二十餘道上漆與研磨工序，展現漆藝特有的深邃質感。這些源自佛教與民間傳說的符號，經數百年演變後，以立體形式重現於筆身曲面，在不同光線下呈現細膩的光影變化。

The Namiki Emperor Treasure fountain pen exemplifies traditional Japanese craftsmanship through its intricate Togidashi-Taka Maki-e lacquer work. Artisan Masaru Hayashi employs this demanding technique to depict Edo-period treasures, each symbolizing distinct virtues: the wish-granting mallet, wisdom-bearing scroll, protective cloak, and other culturally significant motifs. The jumbo #50 nib, matching dimensions from Namiki’s 1920s originals, complements the ebonite body’s ink-sealing mechanism. In the burnished-raised technique, layered lacquer and charcoal powder create subtle dimensional effects – motifs emerge slightly from the background through precise application and polishing. The design’s complexity reveals itself upon closer inspection: the mallet’s textured surface, the scroll’s delicate binding, and the precise rendering of each symbolic element.

The Emperor Collection is Namiki’s highest-ranking series.
A size No.50 (Jumbo) pen nib, the same size as the large Maki-e fountain pen created about 100 years ago, as well as possessing an ink stopping function and the body being shaped with ebonite, “Togidashi-Taka Maki-e (Burnished-Raised Maki-e)”, where high skills are necessary, is utilized. Namiki have prepared two types of pens, one with no clip where you can enjoy the beautiful design around the whole pen, and the other with a clip.
